Track Savings on Purchase Orders
Precoro can now track how much you save or overspend on each purchase order by comparing actual costs to the baseline prices you set. This way, you can monitor actual savings, rather than opportunities or potential cost avoidance.
Here’s how it works:
- Baseline Price column. The item table in POs now has a new Baseline Price column. Enter the regular price of the item there, so Precoro can compare it to the price in this order. For catalog items, this field is pulled from the catalog automatically.
- Item-level savings. Precoro compares the price in the order to the baseline price and multiplies the result by the quantity. The resulting savings value is displayed on every item line in a savings tag; hover over it to see the details. If it’s negative, you’ll see it as an overspend value.
- Document-level savings. The Totals section now features a total savings/overspend line. By default, it shows the savings or overspend value for all items in the order, calculated in comparison to the baseline prices. You can also edit it manually if you know how much you’re saving on the order in total, but not on each item separately.
This feature is on by default, so you can already see the new fields in your documents! You can enable or disable it as needed in Configuration → Basic Settings → Document Setup → General Settings with the Savings Tracking checkbox.
Save Changes to Multiple Items in One Click
When editing two or more items in a document, Precoro now shows a bulk actions panel with a single Save button, so every edited item is submitted together instead of one at a time.
This change saves you the time it takes to save each item separately and improves the app’s performance. The panel also offers the Edit Items button if you want to set the same custom field values for all selected items.
Compare Supplier Proposals Side by Side
You can now compare every supplier’s proposal directly on the request for proposal (RFP) page, instead of opening each proposal in a separate tab to compare pricing and terms by hand.
When you open an RFP, you’ll see a new Compare proposals toggle above the item table. Enable it to see the comparison, or switch it off to see the confirmed item prices.
When comparing proposals, the RFP page shows a comparison matrix with each invited supplier’s price, delivery date, and total, broken down item by item. The lowest price is highlighted in green, making it easier to spot the best offer. Select a winner for each item using the checkbox next to that supplier’s price, or award the supplier for all items at once with a checkbox in the table header.
Once at least one supplier has responded, you can also download the comparison table by pressing the Export XLSX button above the item table on the right.
Add Shipping and Tax Lines When Creating or Editing an RFP
You can now add Shipping and Tax line items when creating or editing an RFP, alongside catalog and custom items—so freight and tax costs are accounted for from the start.
Lines you add appear in the RFP and carry over to the form suppliers fill out, so they see exactly what costs are expected. Once a winning proposal is converted to a PO, these lines carry over with their type intact.
Navigate the Contract List and Confirm AI Drafts Easier
The Contract Management page now includes a Draft info card, so AI-generated contract drafts that still need a review don’t get lost among the rest of your contracts.
Opening an active, already confirmed contract takes you to the editing page, allowing you to correct the terms if necessary. Once ready, press the Update button to save the changes. AI Draft contracts open in editing mode and show a Confirm button; they only become active after you’ve reviewed them and filled out the missing fields.
