How to Activate SuiteTax Engine for NetSuite Integration

Learn how to enable the SuiteTax engine for NetSuite and Precoro integration to ensure accurate tax data exchange between both systems.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

What is the SuiteTax Engine

The SuiteTax Engine is Oracle NetSuite’s advanced tax calculation system that automatically applies tax rates to documents such as invoices, POs, receipts, and credit notes.

Activating the SuiteTax Engine is required to ensure correct tax data exchange between Precoro and NetSuite. Otherwise, tax-related data cannot be fully processed between two systems, leading to potential sync issues.

With SuiteTax Engine enabled, you can:

  • Automatically apply tax rates to document line items
  • Keep tax amounts synchronized across both platforms
  • Prevent errors and mismatches in tax calculations
  • Stay compliant with local tax regulations across different countries

How to Activate the SuiteTax Engine

To activate the SuiteTax Engine, follow these steps:

Step 1: Set Up the NetSuite Integration with Precoro’s SuiteApp

Make sure your NetSuite integration is fully configured using Precoro’s SuiteApp. To set it up, refer to our step-by-step guide.

Step 2: Contact Customer Success Team

Once you complete the integration setup, contact your Customer Success Manager to enable the SuiteTax Engine on Precoro’s side.

Step 3: Enable the SuiteTax Engine in NetSuite

To complete the setup, you need to activate the SuiteTax in your NetSuite account as well.
